Train Your Dog To Lay Down

Dog obedience training methods that are focused on training your dog to lay down are some of the easiest techniques to teach!

Lets look at this simple six step dog obedience training method to train your dog to lay down:

step1. Have dog sit in front of you on the floor.

step2. Kneel down and hold a treat in your hand right near dogs face .

step3. Give the command "DOWN" and slowly bring the treat straight down keeping the treat near the face.

step4. Praise abundantly and give your dog the treat for any slight movement towards a down position. Be sure to say the word "GOODBOY" when praising.

step5. Release dog to lay down.

step6. Repeat for 5-10  minutes and remember to always give lots of praise to your dog for his reward!
