HOW TO POTTY TRAIN YOUR LAB PUPPY
A new labrodor puppy is always a great edition to any family! As soon as you get your your new pup home, you should begin to potty train him. Even if your lab is going to end up living outside, potty training him is a good place to start with his obedience training.
Here are the steps to potty train your lab puppy:
step1. Decide on a word that you want to use for the potty command such as ( go potty ).
step2. Designate a place for your puppy to relieve himself and show him where this is.
step3. Watch for signs that your lab puppy needs to relieve himself such as ( whining,walking in circles, and squatting). As soon as you can tell that he needs to go, take him to the designated spot and say your chosen potty command.
step4. After your lab puppy relieves himself, respond with lots of praise. If your lab puppy has an accident or you notice that he is about to, quickly take him to his spot and answer with a firm "no", but do not yell or punish strongly as this might cause him to revert in his training.
step5. Repeat these steps as often as neccessary until your lab puppy does it on his own.
